The barber Sweeney Todd returns to London, ready to ply his trade again. Living above Mrs. Lovetts pie shop, where she makes The Worst Pies in London, they attempt to improve their lots. Sweeney is out for revenge on Judge Turpin, who has taken charge of Sweeneys daughter Johanna. The young sailor Anthony and Johanna fall in love, and plan to elope with Sweeneys help.
