Set in the Pacific military theater during World War II, we meet nurse Nellie Forbush and plantation owner Emile de Becque as they fall in love on Some Enchanted Evening. Lt. Cable meets the lovely young Liat, daughter of Bloody Mary; he tells her she is Younger Than Springtime. Nellie and the other nurses put on a Thanksgiving pageant for the sailors and seabees, as Luther Billis and Nellie sing and dance to Honey Bun.
