VividFX, an ultra-violet special effects paint represents a spectacular development for the special effects designer, scenic artists, and night club designer. This range of brilliant fluorescent paints is available in thirteen vibrant fluorescent colors. One of the widest palettes available! VividFX paints have been formulated using the highest quality fluorescent pigments available giving the artist an unparalleled combination of color choice, one coat coverage and hiding, fluorescence and versatility.

VividFX paints are compatible with all other Rosco Scenic paints. Use VividFX paints mixed into standard scenic paint when matching the brightest Pantone colors. VividFX uses the same high quality, water base, vinyl acrylic binder found in Off Broadway paints. It is suitable for use over most surfaces and for interior and exterior* applications.

Rosco's VividFX paints have been designed specifically to meet the demanding needs of the special effects artist. The brilliant pigments used create stunning blacklight effects and intermix cleanly to provide a wide array of intermediate fluorescent hues.

Use VividFX wherever eye-catching dramatic special effects painting is desired:
For the Special Effects Artists...
The VividFX line of high quality fluorescent paints offers a special effects artist something new and exciting: performance and dependability in a fluorescent paint. With such a wide range of colors VividFX is up to the challenge of almost any project. Whether its a fantastical matte painting, a spectacular scenic effect that transforms under blacklight or just a simple "dayglo" effect, VividFX paint will help create extraordinary results with less work for the artist trying to find just the right color.

For the Scenic Artist...
More and more stage designers are creating sets that depend on the use of blacklight. Until now, this meant more work and frustration for the scenic artists who struggle to get an even coverage of paint and a bright enough effect. But with the high pigment saturation, and the fine grind achieved during their manufacturing, VividFX paints brush on smoothly and dry to an even matte finish, in only one coat. And under ultra violet light, these colors really shine.

For the Night Club designer...
Night clubs, restaurants, bowling alleys, amusement parks, corporate meetings all are making use of the exciting effects that can be created using fluorescent paints. For these jobs, VividFX is the perfect choice. The color palette is wide, and the performance exceptional. But more importantly, these paints are available wherever the project is happening, anywhere in the United States, anywhere in the world. With over 400 dealers nationwide and offices and distribution networks in over 30 countries around the world, you can be assured that when VividFX is specified in the design, it will be available, everywhere.

Fluorescent / VividFx FAQ:

What are Rosco's UV paints made of?

Rosco's Fluorescent and VividFx lines are made of finely ground fluorescent pigments, a vinyl acrylic binder and water.

Can I thin Rosco UV paints with water?

Yes. Rosco Fluorescents and VividFx are water-based paints. They are designed to be used straight from the can for maximum UV effect; the addition of water to them will dilute the fluorescence of the paint under blacklight.

What are the differences between Rosco Fluorescents and Rosco VividFx?

Both lines are made with a vinyl acrylic binder for good adhesion and flexibility. The primary difference is the "pigment load" or amount of pigment in the can. VividFx has a higher pigment content.

Can I mix Rosco Fluorescents and Rosco VividFx with other Rosco paint lines?

Yes. The binders of all the scenic paint lines are compatible with both the UV lines. The fluorescent pigments in the UV lines are especially helpful when an artist is matching bright colors and needs some extra "pop".

Do I need to use a blacklight with the UV paints?

Yes and No. Rosco's UV paints are clean and bright under regular light giving a "dayglo" effect. Using a "blacklight" or Ultraviolet Light Fixture makes the paint fluoresce.
