A musical-within-a-musical, based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. Fred Graham is the producer/director/actor playing Petrucchio, and his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi is Kate. A young dancer, Lois Lane is Bianca, and looking for any Tom, Dick or Harry, while her boyfriend Bill plays Lucentio. A couple of gangsters show up to collect a gambling debt, mistakenly going after Fred. But once they learn to Brush Up Your Shakespeare, all ends well.
