Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice rock opera about the final days of Jesus Christ. Judas, Simon the Zealot, Peter and the other apostles accompany Jesus to Jerusalem, where they are greeted by the masses. Mary Magdalene tries to soothe Jesus with oil for his hot forehead. Caiaphus and the other priests plot to have Jesus removed, as both Pontius Pilate and King Herod confront Jesus and his teachings. When the angry mobs turn against him, Pilate washes his hands of the decision to crucify him. Songs include Strange Thing Mystifying, I Don’t Know How to Love Him, and Everything’s Alright.
