The Music of the Night fills this hit musical by Andrew Lloyd Weber, based on a 1910 French novel. Set in the Paris Opera House of 1881, young singer Christine Daae is a chorus member for a new production of Hannibal. After Carlotta quits, Christine takes on the lead, as she has prepared with lessons from her Angel of Music - the Phantom in disguise. Raoul and Christine fall in love, angering the Phantom as he terrorizes all at the opera house. Madame Giry finally reveals his identity, and the Phantom leaves behind his mask. Well-known songs include All I Ask of You, Masquerade, and The Phandom of the Opera.
