- Our project team works in the construction and renovations of performance-based facilities
- Norcostco is looking for a new member to join our team to be in our Construction Division, supporting our rigging installations
Job Summary:
The Project Manager for Rigging will focus on projects that range from full-scale counterweight systems to Hybrid motors to dead hangs. Projects can range from design-build to consultation-designed systems, which require collaboration with the contractor and owners to complete the project within the scope of the contract in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Primary:
- Manage projects including
- Develop submittals and Drawings (note: we have drafters on staff)
- Work with General Contractors to meet project goals
- Coordinate installation contractors
- Coordinate vendor deliveries
- Visit Sites preconstruction through construction for site measurements and/or project meetings
- Performs effective end-user and technician training.
- Provide support for service calls and equipment repair for customers
- Developing/finishing Paperwork, including as-built, and training manuals
- Minor fabrication for preparing for projects
- Logistical Support
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Support for Sales and quote requests
- Support Estimating
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of comparable experience in a related discipline
- All levels of previous job-related experience will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision
- Theatrical rigging installation experience
- Knowledge of Theatrical Rigging Systems (Counterweight, motorized, dead hang)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test tools
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of project management software used in construction, i.e., Procore
- Able to travel, including air travel; home on weekends.
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record, a valid driver’s license, a clean background, and valid car insurance
- Able to work within a construction environment
- Able to lift to 50 pounds
- Able to work at heights and on aerial lifts.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Factory/Manufacturer Service Certifications
- ETCP Rigging Certifications
- AutoCAD experience
- OSHA 10 or 30
WORK ENVIRONMENT
M-F 8 am-5 pm, Evenings and/or weekends as needed
Work in an office and on-site environments
25% travel required, regional
FT Exempt $50,000 to $85,000 Starting Salary, depending on qualifications.
