Ken Ludwigs situational comedy provides a backstage glimpse into actors lives. Husband-and-wife actors George Hay and Charlotte Hay are performing two plays in rep at a theater in Buffalo, NY, when they find out Frank Capra is looking for the leads for his next movie. However, George has recently had an affair with another actress, Eileen, who is now pregnant. Their daughter Roz shows up with her new fiancé Howard, but runs into her ex, Paul the stage manager, and mayhem ensues. In the end, Eileen and Howard fall in love, Roz is back with Paul, George and Charlotte have made up, and Frank Capra plans to attend the evening performance so George and Charlotte still have a shot at Hollywood stardom.
