Based on Don Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes. This play-within-a-play begins as Cervantes is brought to prison to await the Spanish Inquisition. He and the other prisoners perform and tell the tale of the mad knight Don Quixote, his squire Sancho Panza, and the bar wench Aldonza. As Quixote searches for The Impossible Dream of true chivalry and honor, he mistakes Aldonza for the unattainable Dulcinea. The Dons family wish to keep him safe, but the Knight of the Mirrors destroys Don Quixotes delusions and his spirit.
