Originally a television musical, it has been adapted for stage productions as well. Cinderella dreams of a better life (“In My Own Little Corner”), when news comes that the Prince is hosting a ball. Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters plan to attend, but leave her behind. Her fairy godmother arrives and “Impossible/It’s Possible” with some magic to transform a pumpkin to a carriage and rags to a ballgown. Cinderella and the Prince fall in love “Ten Minutes Ago”, but “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?” As the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella flees, leaving behind one glass slipper. The next morning, when the Prince finally puts the slipper on her foot, they realize they are in love and live happily ever after.
